Helping to Raise the Consciousness of the Planet One Book at a Time.

I get asked the question a lot, which one of your authors has made a million dollars? The answer is, no one. This is not the goal of our publishing house. Yes, this would be nice, don’t get me wrong, but our mission is not just numbers. We are unique in that we take on books that big publishers would not. Because to us it’s not all about the money a book will pull in. Instead for Richter Publishing, it’s about the authors and the story they need to tell. A burning desire to get this out into the world to help others. If your story can impact the lives of others and help them through their struggles, then the book is a success. We do not censor the authors story. We tell the cold, raw truth.

Our authors consist of men and women who have survived cancer, mental disorders, domestic abuse, rape, sex trafficking, bullying, drunk driving and more. These people have gone through hell and back. Their stories can help others that have gone through similar incidents and know that they are not alone. That you too can get through it and become successful on the other end.

So no, it’s not about the books making millions of dollars, but spreading knowledge and hope. If you can change even one persons life with your words, isn’t that worth it?

Obstacles to Overcome as a Writer

Each writer comes across some self-doubt along the way. Experienced or amateur, below is a list of obstacles that writers must overcome in order to create. Any of these ring a bell?

  • Doubt
  • Procrastination
  • Stress
  • Perfectionism
  • Laziness
  • Anger
  • Jealousy

The only way to overcome is to face each of these obstacles head on. There is no short cut to get it done, but I can provide little tricks that will make it easier.

  • Utilize Every Minute. You need to take advantage of every spare moment you have to finish your book. There is never a right time to compose a novel. You will never have those extra minutes just looming around. You have to create during chaos. You have to make the time and effort in order for it happen.
  • Don’t Edit While You Write. Write when you feel inspired and don’t stop until you feel like you have gotten it all out. Once you get your thoughts spinning in your head you need to stop what you’re doing and write them down, even if it’s chicken scratch notes. You can always go back and edit later.
  • Use Google for Spelling. Google is much more up to date than Word.

If you want to write  a book, you can. But the first step is getting the words out. Just the idea of it can be overwhelming and stressful—which is why many people who want to write a book don’t. If you are new to writing or need help getting started, the full version of my book will provide you with some insight on how to make this seemingly impossible task, possible!

Richter Publishing also has packages where we can write the book for you to make it even easier! Contact us for more info.
