Why Ghostwriting is Hard & Not Everyone Can Do it

Ghostwriting is a challenging yet rewarding profession that involves the writing of a book and other written works for a client who is usually a business owner, CEO, or business leader. Ghostwriters work behind the scenes, creating content that will be attributed to someone else. While it may seem like an easy job, ghostwriting requires a high level of skill, experience, and professionalism. Did you know that most famous people do not write their own books that are published?

Why Ghostwriting is Hard & Not Everyone Can Do it - Richter Publishing

The Art of Mimicry

One of the main reasons why ghostwriting is hard is because it requires the ability to mimic the client’s voice and writing style. The ghostwriter’s job is to create content that sounds like it was written by the client, which means the ghostwriter must be familiar with their client’s unique writing style, personality, and voice. This can be a significant challenge, especially if the client has a distinct writing voice that is difficult to replicate. The writer must crawl inside the clients brain and pretend to be them, think like them. It’s a very emotionally exhausting process. Especially if you are writing about traumatic experiences. The writer has to be involved with them, meshing themselves as if they were actually there to write about it authentically. If the author was victimized, so is the writer so the readers feel it as one. You cry with your authors, you feel their pain too. But if you can not do this, the book will not turn out well. The. worst thing is a badly ghostwritten book.

Time Management

Ghostwriting requires a significant amount of time management skills. Ghostwriters must be able to complete assignments quickly and efficiently while maintaining the quality and accuracy of the content they produce. They must also be able to meet strict deadlines while juggling multiple projects, which can be a daunting task.

The Human Factor

Finally, ghostwriting is difficult because of the human factor involved. Ghostwriters must be able to work closely with their clients and build a strong working relationship based on trust and mutual respect. They must be able to communicate effectively and understand the client’s goals and expectations. This can be particularly challenging when working with high-profile clients who have busy schedules and specific demands.

Ghostwriting is a rewarding yet challenging profession that requires a high level of skill, experience, and professionalism. Ghostwriters must have the ability to mimic their clients’ writing style, adhere to strict confidentiality agreements while maintaining creative limitations, manage their time effectively, and work closely with their clients to understand their goals and expectations. Not everyone is suited for ghostwriting, and those who are successful in the profession have honed their skills over time and possess a unique set of qualities that allow them to excel in this challenging field.

If you need a highly skilled ghostwriter, we have those at Richter Publishing. No boo’s about it.

Friday the 13th – Did You Know It’s Bad Luck To Leave a Book Half Written?

Friday the 13th is a well-known superstition, believed to bring bad luck and misfortune. This date has been associated with several myths and stories throughout history, leading many people to fear it as an unlucky day. While some may dismiss this belief as just another superstition, others take great precaution on this particular day.

The origins of Friday the 13th being considered an ominous date are not clear, but some theories suggest that it dates back to biblical times. According to one belief, the number 13 is associated with Judas Iscariot, who was believed to be the thirteenth guest at the Last Supper and later betrayed Jesus Christ. Combining this superstition with Friday, which has been historically viewed as an unlucky day, created the ominous date of Friday the 13th.

Another theory suggests that the phobia of Friday the 13th may have originated from Norse mythology. In Norse mythology, twelve gods were having a dinner party when Loki, the god of mischief and chaos, crashed it as an uninvited thirteenth guest. As a result, he orchestrated the death of Baldr, the god of joy and happiness, leading to the belief that having thirteen guests at a dinner party would bring misfortune.

Despite its origins, Friday the 13th has become deeply ingrained in popular culture as an unlucky day. This superstition is so widespread that it even has a name – paraskevidekatriaphobia. People with this phobia may go to great lengths to avoid any activities on this day, such as scheduling important events or travel plans.

Interestingly, the fear of Friday the 13th has also led to some bizarre and irrational behaviors. For instance, some buildings do not have a 13th floor, and many hospitals do not have a room number 13. Airlines and airports often see a decrease in passengers on this day, while some people refuse to make significant purchases or investments.

As Friday the 13th may bring bad luck around the world, so is leaving a book half written. According to this superstition, not finishing your book is considered bad luck. Some believe that it brings negative energy into their writing and hinders their progress. This idea of “bad juju” has been passed down through generations of writers, and many still believe in its power.

The consequences of not finishing your book are said to be severe. Some say that it can lead to writer’s block, making it difficult for you to start another writing project. Others believe that it may bring about financial difficulties or personal problems. While there is no scientific evidence to support these claims, many writers are not willing to take the risk.

Many new aspiring authors will have nightmares until their book is finished. The half written pages haunting them until they are completed. They can’t eat or sleep as the book keeps haunting them. Gnawing away at their brain.

So how do you avoid this bad juju and ensure that you finish writing your book? Here are a few tips:

  • Set realistic goals: Instead of trying to write the entire book in one sitting, break it down into smaller, achievable goals. This will not only make the task seem less daunting but also help you stay on track.
  • Stay motivated: Find ways to keep yourself motivated throughout the writing process. This could be by setting rewards for meeting your goals, finding an accountability partner, or taking breaks when needed.
  • Don’t compare yourself to others: Every writer has their own pace and style of writing. Avoid comparing yourself to other writers and focus on your own progress.
  • Believe in yourself: Remember that finishing your book is not a matter of luck, but rather dedication and hard work. Believe in your abilities as a writer and trust that you will see the project through to the end.

While there may be no scientific evidence to support the idea of bad juju when it comes to writing, many writers still believe in its power. Whether or not you choose to believe in this superstition, it is always beneficial to set realistic goals, stay motivated, and trust in your abilities as a writer. So go ahead and finish that book with confidence and determination! So don’t let the fear of bad juju stop you from finishing your book – keep writing and remember that the real magic lies within you. So keep writing, and don’t let any superstitions hold you back! Remember, the power to finish your book is in your hands. If you need help finishing your book, reach out to us and we can help stop the nightmare!

Finding the right path is never easy, but with the support of his family, friends, and some key mentors along the way, Mark confidently navigated through some of life’s most challenging obstacles. The Pathfinder is a loving tribute to all those people who helped pave the way of the Mahaffey legacy and the friendships that have blossomed along the way. Legend has it that there is a quote that hangs in the halls of NASA that reads, “Aerodynamically a bumble bee’s body is not made to fly because the breadth of it’s wings is too small to keep it’s huge body in flight. The good thing is, the bee doesn’t know that and flies anyway.” This is the story of a little bumble bee who dreams of flying but from the start is told all the reasons why she can’t. Determined, she sets off on a journey that takes her from the beach, to the mountains, to the jungle and lots of places in between. Along the way she learns through friendship and perseverance to believe in herself and fly anyway.

Everyone is dealt a ‘deck of cards’ at birth. That deck can represent people’s personalities as much as disparate situations. Each card/person has a role to play in the game of life. Interdependence is key to our individual and collective survival, whether it’s finding one’s professional niche, handling difficult customers, or developing creative ideas to stop climate change. Everything and everybody affects each other. Building from the principle that we often exist in solitary ‘silos,’ Ullven provides 180 Silo Secrets which readers can immediately apply in their daily lives. She helps readers identify their “superpowers” and use those to impact their personal lives, professional lives, and local communities. Perhaps most importantly, she emphasizes that no one person can do it all, nor should anyone attempt to do so. We’re all part of a greater whole and the tools she’s provided, ranging from personality assessments to top ten lists of tips, aim to help people feel empowered, rather than overwhelmed.

An inspirational memoir of a man who escaped war torn Liberia to eventually find asylum in America. However, it was not an easy road to travel. As a child, it took Pitman and his family almost two months to walk on foot from their country into Sierra Leone. With nothing but the clothes on their backs, they had to hide from rebels who were on a rampage amputating and murdering anyone who they thought were connected to the government. In his debut book, Kennedy takes you along his journey of being a refugee from a 3rd world country to becoming a successful businessman in the states.

Books are an excellent way to celebrate Labor Day, honor the working class, and gain an understanding of the current socio-economic issues. Labor Day is a time for people to celebrate their hard work and dedication to their respective jobs. THE LAST DANCE: The Eagles’ Rise to Extinction by Edward Porcelli

For the baseball lover. A true story about college players. On February 11th, 2021, The North Carolina Central Baseball team walked into a meeting with the university’s athletic director, expecting to be told they were canceling the upcoming season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, they were told their school was canceling baseball altogether, and that the 2021 season would be its last for the Eagles. Across the nation, historically black colleges and university baseball programs, are on the chopping block. This is the true story of the events leading up to that fateful day and how the NCCU baseball family persevered over the following months. Assistant Coach and author, Ed Porcelli, gives a first-hand account of how the players, coaches, friends, and baseball alumni of NCCU baseball, dealt with the loss of its program. What was the real reason as to why the administration decided to drop baseball? Was this really a financial decision due to the covid pandemic, or were there other factors at play? Be in the dugout, with the players and coaches, as Central enjoys its best and last season representing the Eagles. Presidential photographer Al Drago illustrates the many different emotions of the players during their final season, capturing the last moments of the Eagles, before their inevitable extinction.

UFO’s Fact or Fiction?

Polls tell us that the majority of Americans believe in UFOs. While government recently acknowledged the existence of UFOs, it is widely believed that government knows much more than they’ve released to the public. So where can someone curious about this subject go to find more specific information? Powerful alternative sources of information can be found on the internet from witnesses, whistle-blowers, academic researchers, military experts, and scores of interested people. However, separating fact from fiction may be difficult. This UFO book is a compilation of all the experts, their stories and research in one resource for you the reader to decide what is fact or fiction.

It appears likely that the keeper of secrets may not even be the government. If true, this might be advantageous to the designers of weapons of war, and those charged with protecting our country from external threats. But what is advantageous to government may be disadvantageous to the public welfare. For example, what if UFO research led to achieving nuclear fusion which in turn led to supplying the country with abundant, cheap, non-polluting energy, and ending our reliance on fossil fuel? Though there is no way to measure lost opportunity, it just the same is a real loss.

For many years, UFO sightings and reports of alleged alien encounters have been reported around the world. These strange phenomena have caused much debate and speculation about their origin. While some people believe that these UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin, others are more skeptical and attribute them to natural causes or misidentified aircrafts. Despite the lack of concrete evidence, research into this phenomenon continues as many seek answers to the unresolved questions surrounding UFO sightings and alien encounters. With advances in technology, researchers now have access to data from all over the world which could potentially provide insight into these mysterious events. Through further investigation and analysis of evidence, we may finally be able to gain a better understanding of what exactly is behind these unexplained occurrences. With more information, we can strive towards uncovering the truth behind these mysterious UFO sightings and alien encounters.

A UFO Story Are We Alone?

The field of ufology is a complex one, with scientists and researchers investigating all aspects of possible extra-terrestrial influence from all around the world. This includes studying sightings, examining reports, analyzing evidence, and looking for patterns in events to try to find conclusive answers to the questions surrounding UFOs and aliens. Despite many skeptics claiming that there is no proof that extraterrestrials exist, there are still those who believe that life beyond Earth exists and has had some kind of contact with humanity. With more research into this phenomenon, we can hope to gain better insight into what exactly is happening when it comes to these strange occurrences.

No matter your opinion on UFOs or Aliens, it is clear that this is an area of research worth further exploration. By continuing to investigate sightings and reports, and analyzing evidence more closely, we can move closer towards understanding what may be behind the phenomena. Until then, the subject remains a mystery and continues to fascinate the minds of many.

This book by William Northwall, has been compiled to help those make their own opinions. The second edition has 100 pages of new information, like the findings at Skin Walker Ranch. Get your copy and see what is really out there in the universe waiting for us.

We want you!

Richter Publishing is working on a documentary about the publishing industry. It is a blackhole of information out there for new authors. And they get lost in figuring out the different avenues like traditional, indie and self publishing to see which one is the right one for them. Many times they get taken advantage of in the process. This is why we started Richter Publishing 10 years ago. To help authors. We want to interview authors who have already published their books and have gone through other avenues to their book out there. We want to hear your experiences. The good, the bad and the ugly!

We are working with a Capstone class at USF to assist us with the documentary. Please fill out our google form if you would like to be considered for the film. We will reach out to you if we feel your story is a good fit.
