Work Ethic: The Right Actions to Create a Successful Lifestyle It isn’t what you say, it’s what you do that will create the life you want. The high school years are a great time for students to build valuable and rewarding action characteristics to increase self-esteem and deliver results. While enjoying these years, students should be developing the right mindset to achieve the success they desire in the future. In order for success to happen, for students to have that lifestyle they often speak of wanting, they must become adults with a solid, results-based work ethic. Wasting these four years can’t be a part of the plan. By using their time in high school to build the right actions for a successful lifestyle, students can ensure themselves a bright future, no matter the obstacles they will encounter. Work Ethic is for the high school student expecting to live life successfully, and is willing to do the right growth actions to shape a lifestyle of fulfillment, fun, and results.

Book lovers and entrepreneurs turned out recently to meet eight authors whose books were launched at a reception put on by Richter Publishing.
About 150 guests gathered April 8 at CoCreative, a cooperative office space, to talk with the authors about the various subjects of the books and how they found time to write. Guest Maureen Pelamati, a Robinson High English teacher, said: “It’s all very interesting. There are so many different topics people are writing about.” from the Tampa Tribune

Tara Richter wants to turn local entrepreneurs into authors.
Richter, author, publisher and writing coach, specializes in helping business owners write their own nonfiction stories in four weeks.
Her firm, Richter Publishing, just published seven books and launched them at a cocktail party at CoCreative, a flexible work space for small companies in a Bay Cities Bank branch in south Tampa.
In her previous book, FROM A BLOCK OF CLAY, POTLUCK EDITION, Elizabeth Bunbury concluded with these words: “Let the journey begin…” Well, her journey has truly begun, and she is now “on the road”. Bunbury believes it is the path God prepared specifically for her to travel even before she was born. While there were many detours, with God’s help– and of others whom he sent to walk the path with her—she is moving forward. We are all on a journey, and we all have a story to tell. The stories in ON THE ROAD show the progression of Bunbury’s journey with its twists, turns, back-tracking, and going forward again. Your life’s journey may be somewhat similar to hers, or quite different. Either way, it is her prayer that, as you read, you will realize you are not alone on this journey called life. May you learn there is hope that a new, smoother path could be just ahead. “THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.” Author Unknown
You are a high school student, and for some reason you’re not inspired to do your best work. In fact, the only reason you even work as hard as you do may be due to a fear of punishment from authority figures. You’ve noticed other students that seem to be focused, but you don’t know how they do it. You have interests, but nothing that keeps your attention for long, or relates to a path where you will enjoy personal achievement one day. You may have talked with teachers, counselors, other students, and parents about your future, but nothing seems to click. What do you do? Where do you go to find your path? How do you find a path? Is there even a path for everyone? You may wonder, why can’t you just pick something, and have it inspire you so that you enjoy learning? Why do some seem to have it so easy?
Many students are just “floating” along until something, anything, catches their attention. Many take the default path and pick college, or the military thinking this “experience” will solve their dilemma. This isn’t because they are bad kids, stupid, can’t do the work, or don’t care. These high school students want to be inspired to do great things and have a successful life, but don’t know how.
In Learning Curve: How to Prepare for Success When You Don’t Know Where Your Life is Going, Brunson shares his story, and then a list of characteristics each student can develop before success happens, so that when they find their passion, these skills will be a part of their character, and the transition toward success will be easier, faster, and more rewarding. Over time, these characteristics will become stronger as they are practiced with intent to find the path that is right for you. Your “WHY” should be based on the life you desire. By waiting until you know exactly what you want to do to develop these characteristics, you waste valuable resources, such as time and money, and may not be able to make up the ground when you finally are “inspired.” This results in missing valuable experience and opportunities while adding unwanted confusion and frustration to life.
By developing the right personal characteristics, you will have a greater chance of grabbing that opportunity that is important to the success you desire as it starts to reveal itself. If your “WHY” in life is to be happy, achieve personal defined success, and wake up many days knowing you are making a difference in this world, then you should read this book. As you complete the chapter, work to answer the follow-up questions that are at the end of each characteristic. Don’t worry if you can’t answer them all at once, you are a work in progress.
Personally I think this is a brilliant move. Politics aside, I’m more of a middle-of-the-road kinda gal, this was smart. How do you raise your profile and get free TV and radio interviews? Publish a book! My authors coming through Richter Publishing know the value of having a book, now the politician’s are jumping on the band wagon.
Normally campaigns have to hire advance staffers and press staffers, pay for plane tickets, rent space, equipment and more to stage an event that draws TV, radio and newspaper reporters. Or spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on ads to get on voters’ TV screens.
The beauty of a book tour is that it allows a candidate like Crist to generate loads of media attention while spending little of the campaign money he will need to take on Republican Gov. Rick Scott this year.
Crist’s national TV interviews with the likes of Bill O’Reilly and Stephen Colbert put Crist before a potential national audience of 8.7 million people, which equals $489,171.96 worth of publicity. Local TV viewership across Florida totaled 3.3 million people, free publicity worth an additional $204,179.57.
This is what they estimated his total free publicity, a day later Tampa Bay Times adjusted the total to a whopping $693,351.53!
The awesome thing is that anybody can get this free publicity by publishing a book. It may not add up to Charlie’s huge numbers, but let me tell you, it’s priceless. I have published 4 books in about 2 years. With just my first book I was offered a book signing with CNN, I was featured on Daytime TV, FOX, ABC and more. I had radio interviews booked all over the US & Canada & I’m not a politician! My books were on dating advice, but the thing is once you have a book you’re considered an expert in your industry.
My other published authors are already seeing the results with their books, within 1 month! Pierce Brunson author of “Learning Curve” pitched the Pinellas Country Youth Council and they are now discussing creating a summer curriculum based on his book! Gen Dobson author of “Failing Successfully, Life After Debt” has been speaking to Oprah’s staff to be on her channel!
If you have been putting off writing your book, why? What’s holding you back? Every minute you waste is another TV interview or opportunity passing you by. Contact me today to set up a free discovery session on how I can help bring your dreams to paperback.
Tara Richter, Self-Publishing Expert & Author of 4 Books
As we go through life we experience many ups and downs. Some things bring us great joy while other things bring us heartache and pain. This book discusses life’s journey, and the many mistakes that are made that shape a person.
Sometimes what we see as failure isn’t really failure at all. Sometimes we just have to change our view in order to change our lives. This is also the case for the millions of graduates who have student loan debt and continue to struggle.
There is Life after Debt, and there are good habits to learn that will help. This book provides the tools on how to successfully manage debt and finally have the ability to live again proud of accomplishing the great task of graduating college rather than being ashamed by the burden of debt that has been accumulated. There are many options available, and this book is a guide to the many answers that borrowers seek.
Owner of Degrees of Success, named the Best of Tampa for Debt Management in 2013, author Genevieve Dobson (Gen) assists those in debt to reduce their monthly payments and alleviate the stress that the burden of debt can cause. She firmly believes success comes to those who are willing to fail and instead of giving up they push harder to succeed.
“It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to get there as long as you are walking in the right direction. Sometimes fear will slow us down but we can’t let it stop us.”-Gen Dobson
Also keep an eye out for her upcoming series whose shocking title will be kept a secret until the first book is revealed in 2015.
