We are excited to announce the 2018 date and venue for Tampa’s 5th Annual Author Awards Ceremony & Book Gala! Grab your table early before they’re gone.

Submit your book for an award! This year we are opening the gala to all published authors. Anyone who would like to enter their physical book to compete in these categories:

  • Most Inspirational Story
  • Best Business Book
  • Best Self-Help Book
  • Best Poetry
  • Best Children’s Book
  • Best Fiction Book
  • Best Book in St. Pete (Sponsored by Modern Photography Group)
  • Amazon Best Seller
  • Best Cover
  • Best Overall Book for 2018

Local businesses can also purchase a table to sell and market their products to attendees and writers! Submission also includes a feature in our magazine, “Entrepreneur 2 Author.” The submission deadline is September 1st, 2018. Please mail two copies of your book for approval and a completed application to Richter Publishing’s office for evaluation. The form can be found here: https://richterpublishing.com/events

Dedicate one night a month Feb-July and come get your book done. Join Tara Richter, Richter Publishing, Jamie Klingman and Laurie Stemm, The Kaizen Collaborative, for six nights of focusing on getting published. Bring your computer, grab a drink, and settle in for focused writing time, plus access to an experienced publisher for help and advice. At the end of the series, submit your manuscript for a chance to win a free publishing contract through Richter Publishing’s annual contest! (Entries due August 1, 2018.  Author or a representative must physically be present in October 13th 2018 at our annual author awards ceremony to accept the contract if they win.)  

Each session will have a focus. The first 30 minutes Tara will cover a certain topic to help you with your manuscript. Afterwards we will break into certain groups where you can write silently or collaborate with other aspiring authors. Tara will also be available for private coaching during the night.

 

Each session is $10, payable at the door. Sessions go from 5:30 -8:30 PM. They will be held at the The Kaizen Collaborative, located at 5215 W Laurel Street, Suite 110, Tampa, Florida 33607.

Inspirational fiction story that tackles the multidimensional levels of bullying in our modern day society.

When Andy Reinhart befriends Henry Fitzwater, the school bully, he sets in motion a chain of events that lead Henry down a collision course toward his destiny. Bent on discovering who the biggest bully in the school is, the boys and their friends are interrupted by the new kid in school, Landry Hollis. They quickly learn they’ll need Landry’s help to complete their mission, and could really use his skill on the football field if they want to win this year’s championship. The boys have no idea what kind of drama Landry and his Uncle Billy are bringing to Beaver Springs, but they’re about to find out and have their lives turned upside down. In Andy’s efforts to keep his friends focused on their mission, he ruins the trust of his parents. Battling his parents for the right to choose his friends, fighting the biggest bully in the school, and winning the championship game all have their challenges. Can Andy overcome them all and also keep from falling for the prettiest girl in school?

Hunting Buddies Cover KINDLEBob and Jay began their joint hunting experiences when Jay, the owner of Buffalo Mountain Ranch in Texas, reached out to Bob, owner of BowhuntingInfo.com from Michigan for help with a rogue bison bull on his ranch. Bob was able to help with a crazy hunter willing to get close enough to shoot that bull with a stick and a string.
After that auspicious meeting, Bob and Jay hit it right off. Jay, not really knowing Bob, made the mistake of inviting Bob on an elk hunt which took Bob probably all of three seconds to accept. Jay hasn’t yet figured out how to dis-invite Bob, so he is forced to endure nearly endless days each year in Bob’s presence. Jay and Bob have written over 27 short stories about some of their escapades. These encompass trips into the wilds of northern Canada, the great Rocky Mountains, and into the cactus strewn land of Texas.

Bob and Jay say that the things they write about could not be made up – they just happen. Look for more books in the series, “Humor, with a Little Huntin’ Thrown In.” Keep up with Bob & Jay on their website.
